I am still looking for a TBC. Drop me a line if you have one looking for a new home. Stephen Wagner

Stephen, I have a DPS TBC 230 (external rackmountable) Transcoding composite Y/C single channel TBC with the serial port adapter and an early version of the Personal TBC software to allow computer control of the unit. It also has a full compliment of front panel switches for control. It is an infinite window TBC with frame and field freeze as well as variable rate strobe and supports triggering of these features by GPI. The unit is two years old and comes with the docs, software disk, serial adaptor (phone jack R-11 to 25 pin adaptor) and original packing. Right now it serves a JVC BRS 622U S-VHS source deck in my suite. I want to sell it in order to add the JVC internal TBC card and DNR card to the deck. It was $1500 brand new. I'm selling it for $975 shipping included. wmc – via Autopilot!

I have a couple of DPS TBC II boards I am not using. Work fine with the Toaster.

TBC II boards are fine, depending on your asking price! Let me know what ballpark figure you are looking for. I will be checking Mail again Wednesday night. Steve

Stephen, I have a Crosspoint Latch 8200. It's a single unit containing 2 TBC's and a Switcher. Any interest? Dave Felder Ryan Consulting Video Productions, Inc.

That sounds like a great unit, depending on the price. Let me know what could get it from you. Since I have a Toaster, I do not really need a switcher. I might want to get a FAX of the documentation on the unit as well so I can get a feel for how strong the TBCs in the unit are. I will be checking mail again Wednedsay night. Steve

SWITCHER CONTROLS: 2 Fader arms Joystick positioner 12 Patterns Variable soft edges colored borders colorizer genlock sync generator auto transitions DIGITAL EFFECTS: pull-on pull-off push-off mosaic mix mosaic wipe mosaic key posterization I've never used the audio portion, so I can't vouch for it. The video section works fine. I'm getting rid of it because: 1) It takes up a lot of space. 2) Controls are infinitely variable. In other words, it has no default settings. 3) No freeze frame. I was hoping to get about $825 for it, but I suppose there's always room for discussion. It's not small, and depending on where you live, shipping could cost a few bucks (or should I say big bucks?). Let me know what you think. Dave Felder

Dave – I just downloaded your message! I will read it in detail this weekend. I got an avalanche of mail on my posting. Some guy wants to sell me two TBC II units for $400. Your unit looks to be superior at first glance. I will get back to you this weekend. Thank you, sir! Your efforts at uploading the manual are much appreciated! Steve

Dave – the kicker is that the playback decks need to be genlockable. None of the decks/cameras that I have the ability to accept an external sync. The unit sounds like a monster, though: 90lbs! Good grief. There is a chance that I will be picking up some old 3/4 decks that do accept the external sync. I will know in a week or two. I will give you a shout if I decide to take your unit. Thanks again for providinge me with the info on your unit. I will mention that it is for sale at my next Amiga/Toaster meeting. Steve
