Larry- I believe that somewhere there's a new TERMIO.C file for EMACS that speeds up the display more. I myself use a better version of the same microemacs, ported over here and rumored to be coming out soon on a commercial disk. Anyway, the EMACS control set (all those CNTRL and META sequences) is a spinoff of the original MIT program. The beauty of it is that as long as you're using an ASCII terminal, the codes are otherwise machine independent. I've got versions of this microEMACS running on our VAX/VMS and unix machines at work, and all of them look much like the Amiga version. The control codes are reasonably mnemonic, and in the Amiga version I have you may also use the MENU key and select the same commands from the normal intuition style interface. -Hazy Davy
