I have a GoldenGate 486SLC emulator and would like to know if anybody has any positive experiences running backups from the Amiga 4000 high density floppy drives.(??) I'm currently using Central Point Backup (for Windoze), and the software only seems to want to run at an extremely slow rate. (zzz…zzz…zzz… etc.) Would anybody care to suggest another reliable backup package that I should use? (Or, tell me what I'm doing wrong with Central Point Backup??) Thanks, – Dave

David: The Amiga's drives are not well suited for the GoldenGate 486. Although they will work, they do so at a far lower speed than a normal PC high density drive. About the only way to get around this would be to go out and purchase a dedicated HD drive for the GoldenGate. Either that, or purchase a SCSI controller and buy a SCSI tape backup. // John (Speeding on the Information Superhighway) \X/ Mercury@ins.infonet.net
