#Algorithmic Plant Code?

Has anyone seen the source code to the 'Pfg' program mentioned in the
appendix of "The Algorithmic Beauty of Plants"? Or for that matter, there
are several other programs mentioned there, called 'Spiral', 'Ise', 'Mapl',
'Panel', 'L.E.G.O', 'Ifsg'. These make objects and feed them to 'rayshade'
for rendering. In the book, these programs were written for the Iris
workstation.
Alternatively, anyone know the Internet address of the authors?

I can't help you find those programs, but if you do get ahold of them,
could you either upload them here, or at least leave a message about
where you found them? I think they'd be of great general interest.

Sure, I can do that. They appear to have a nice L-system parser and
3D-data creating program in them… I recently saw a product that looks
like it was based on the book, so I wondered if I'd missed the source code.

Thanks, John. I've seen the book, but don't recall if it had any source in
it. John Swenson here has a partial 3D L-system programmed, but he's been
hung up for a couple of years deciding on the parser language.
(That's meant to be a spur in John's side).

Do you What are your plans for this Windoows L-system product?
I'd be glad to beta test it, I'vem tested "Jag for Windows" for Ray Dream,
and was heavily invovled lved with beta testing Harvard Draw fo r Windows.
Do you plan to release it as a commercial product, or shareware, or?
