#2286/A3000 indigestion

I'm having some trouble getting a 2286 Bridgeboard to work with our A3000
(25MHz, 2Megs chip, 4Megs fast) running 2.05. With the proper disk drive
(1.2Meg 5.25"), at least it finally boots, but it won't recognize the virtual
C: drive I had set up for my old 2088 BB, which did work. Also, whenever I try
to use AREAD or AWRITE I get this error message:
Error: Server not running. Run PCDisk on the Amiga. I have tried running
sys:PC/PCDisk in the Startup-Sequence immediately after BindDrivers, in the
User-Startup, from the Shell and from the icon, all with no luck. Is there
something in a 2286 that doesn't like the 3000, or is the board itself more
likely to be the problem?
You need to turn off the 68030's caching /burst mode off (I forget which
one) before you run BindDrivers in your startup sequence, then you can
turn them back on. I also remember something about running Enforcer as a
cure, but never got a chance to try it.

"Enforcer quiet" is a better choice than "CPU nodatacache", that's all. Some
people prefer to run CPU, or SetCPU if you don't have WB 2.x or above.

So sorry, I possess neither A2286BB nor A3000 running KS2.05 (which WB &
Janus versions?) and I don't use virtual drives.
I can only guess. Try to disable CPU caches, make a Amiga warmstart and
afterwards a PC reset, latter may help solving timing problems. I hope
CROSSINGS or somebody with the same configuration will offer the real
solution for your problem. Good luck!

Pat,
You need to run "Enforcer quiet" before Binddrivers. But you also need to
reboot the Bridgeboard after it starts–something in the timing between the
Bridgeboard software and WB 2.x and above.
