GVP Tech, Why not make your extensive database of problems with your products into an AmigaGuide document and include it with all future products and make it available here on CIS/your BBS? I'm sure this would save you considerable time and hastle as most of us here are fairly experienced and could probably solve or diagnose most problems ourselves. As you're cutting back on support, this would free up your streached resourses some and give everybody better support? BTW further to my request yesterday for help with my Maxtor SCSI drive and the 1291, are the numbers which come up in the "unnexpected status: $45/$49" requester decimal or hex and are these errors generated by the gvp board/software or just passed through from the SCSI device? Kevin, We hope to provide a Tech Bible to our dealers in the near future. Some of the information could potentially cause damage, so it will not be posted anywhere at this time. Perhaps this volume of information will be trimmed later and posted. I'll pass the suggestion along. As for the messages, they are generated by the driver. Most of them are illegal commands or unrecognized commands, which mainly stem from bad cabling/termination settings. Knowing what a particular error means will never allow a user to correct the problem, but may help our Software people with compatibility issues. Technical Support does not have a listing of these errors and their meanings. GVP TECH
