John, I've modeled an 8 sided cone and selected every other longitudinal line of vertices then rotated these vertices to shorten 4 of the sides , making a pyramid w/ truncated edges. It all went well till rendering time and then it became apparent that one half of the mesh was transparent for no good reason!Wha'd I do? The mesh looks intact, all there but…. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Gary

I don't know how far you rotated the vertices (or exactly how that would give you the desired effect, but…) but it sounds like you've got normals facing the wrong way. My first suggestion would be to model the pyramid again, making the proper dimensions without rotating faces. Or, if you're "married" to the one you've got, render apply a 2 sided material, or render "force 2 sided". Let me know if that works. John Tissavary (LUNA cie)
