WE ARE TRYING TO CREATE A PHOTO BY TAKING AN EXISTING PHOTO AND ADDING A
RENDERED 3D STUDIO IMAGE TO IT. OUR WINDOWS SOFTWARE DOES NOT LET US READ OUR
HIGHEST RES. PHOTO CD IMAGE BECAUSE OF THE 16MB MEMORY BLOCK LIMITATION OF
WINDOWS. ANY SUGGESTIONS?

I had this problem with a particular windows application too. Please refer to
your Windows Users Guide index under "Swap File – Windows", "Swap File –
Application" and setting a permanent swap file size. This may help you.
Good Luck.

Thanks for the info. I'll check it out.
ps [sorry for shouting, I'm new to the system.]
Did you try to use Photostyler ? There is a possibility to edit only a part of
the large image. With this possibility, you can have large image file on the
disk and small part in memory.

I don't have Photostyler, but I will check in to it. Thanks for the info.
Another thing to look into is what version of Windows you are using. Windows
prior to 3.1 had this limitation, but current version no longer.

Adobe Photoshop will do that. They handle memory themselves and aren't limited
to Windows 3.1 16 Megs limit.
