Dave, Here's what can happen on some machines – see if it applies to you. When pressing Play in Animator Studio, try pressing it 3 times. It should have started up on the 3rd press, and may do so consistently. I noticed this on a pre-release version in Training, and this was the behavior on certain machines. One other suggestion – you might be having a problem related to insufficient resources. I get a similiar symptom if I load up a number of movies and trying playing each one after I load. At one point the last one I load seems to follow your symptoms. If I close up one of the earlier movies, then the last one will play. So, take a look at your system resources (Program Manager/Help/About Program Manager) and make a note of your swap size and your Resource %. See if you can then close down any other applications that might be running (I've even heard people disable their wallpaper background!) and if the Resource % goes up, try it again. If it plays, could you let us know? (If not, let us know too.)
