John, PMFJI but I use this trick program in Photoshop called Cybermesh. It takes a greyscale image and turns it into a 3D object with real time adjustments. It can save the object as 1 of 4 types of DXF files: 1.NxM mesh DXF 2.3D face DXF (the best if it could be read) 3.Polyline DXF 4.FACT? None of which Lightwave understands. If I load NxM mesh DXF into PixPro and save it as a Lightwave object I get a useable object. Also,of all the DXF files I have been given, the ones from Corel Draw are the most useable. Any guesses as to these types of DXF files and the definitive version of DXF you support? Joe Clasen Joe's DB&G
