Is anyone running Animator Studio under Windows 95? All the components are working except for AS itself on my computer. When I try to load the program the opening screen image stays on screen and I hear an error chime but I can't see the error message so I don't know what else I can contribute to the description of the problem other than 'it hangs up' <g>. TIA. C#

>> Is anyone running Animator Studio under Windows 95? << in general, no. some clever clever folks have managed to get it barely running under 3.51, but the good news is that AAS is being developed for NT and Win95. hang on to them hats and glasses… bound to be a wild ride here shortly. 🙂 -dave

What?!!? How do you develop a product that runs under Win 32s that won't run under Windows 95? Man, I wish Autodesk would follow someone else's rules once in a while instead of trying to create their own standard all the time. |:( I expected that from the ACAD group but I always thought that the Multi-media group did a better job of product development. Craig, We're not trying to make up rules as we see fit. It's not a 32-bit issue rather how Windows 95 deals with multimedia devices and drivers versus Windows 3.1. Mark Gerhard, the product manager, is here on the forum daily. He just recently announced a fix that will allow Animator Studio to run with Windows 95 as well as Windows NT. The upgrade should be available soon and at no charge. Jh

Jeremy: Thanks. I was simply implying that it didn't seem to me that it was possible that the product couldn't run under Windows 95 but rather it was one of those >features< that might need some review <g>. No harm meant. It's a great product. C#

Craig, Hey, I knew you weren't going crazy or anything. I just wanted to clarify our position and give you something to look forward to(which is always nice<g>) Jh

Is there a way to actually get that fix. I only use WIN95 beta and it is a really big problem that I cannot run AAS.

Mohammed, The fix will probably be available here but I can't really say when. In any case, I know what you're going through(Autodesk has several copies of Win95) and we're working to get a solution quick. Jh
