AS vs AP

>> Regarding Win 95 and upgrades, I want to let you know personally that we're working on a fix so that Animator Studio runs under Win 95 and Win NT, and that it will be a free upgrade and available fairly soon. << Most excellent! Thanks for the reply. I cancelled my order when I heard it wouldn't run but will reconsider placing it again as soon as I hear about the fix. On a related note, what/who _exactly_ are you aiming AS at anyway? I originally thought that it would be a "complete" replacement to AnimatorPro but have heard several people say "don't erase your AP yet" which tends to imply that it doesn't have all the functionality or feature set of AP. I want these 2D product(s) mainly/solely to extend the functionality of 3DS (animated masks and the like) but haven't used AP much recently because it's only a 256 color program (works fine for opacity mapping tho) and I just can't hang w/ it for that reason. On the other side 3DS won't write AVI's yet so currently the AP(AS)/3DS link is quite alot weaker than it was in the past when 256 color animations were he norm. Hopefully 3DS NT will sync up w/ AS much better by the first of next year (fingers crossed). Anyways, to make a short story long <g>, in a nut shell could you elaborate a bit on what AS can do that AP can't and vice versa. And, will we be able to toss AP w/o a loss of functionality, either now or soonly? I think I speak for many users when I say that we want to be done w/ _all_ 16 bit DOS or Windows programs _ASAP_. RSN many/most of us 3DS'ers will be moving to NT, a true 32 bit OS and we want our treasured programs to follow us merrily into the future. Thanks again for the reply! And keep up the great work!!! -ej – Ernie Jackson, Written 04-Jun-1995 @ 18:05:27 Using: Windows NavCIS PRO 1.62
