can anyone out there give a rough guide: I've got a 1500 + HD + 5Mb RAM … when I print from ProPage it takes about 10 mins for 300dpi full page document … what's the best method to speed it up? … can you please include the time taken per page with your advice … CHEERS!! … Dano

Dano, What type of printer are you using and what sort of image are you printing, text, graphics, both ? Andrew.

Daniel, How long does it take before your printer starts printing, and then does your printer pause between passes? In other words, is the backlog your printer's speed, or the amount of time it takes to figure out the page before it starts to print. Don

Dano, First possibility is to get a faster Amiga. 1500 – isn't that like an A2000? Real slow at doing bitmap printing at 300 dpi. You don't want to wait for ProPage to do dotmatrix printing at 600 dpi! Second possibility is move up to a postscript printer. This takes the burden off the computer and makes the printer do all the work. ProPage is MUCH quicker at finishing print jobs. Course, the speed of the postscript printer will play a role here, too! 73, Kelly
