Lights/Spot/Adjust . . . The bottom of the menu has "rectangle" and "circular" buttons. (and turn your caps lock off it looks like your yelling.) – Ron

Thanks for the advice; however I misphrased the question. My problem occours when I am importing circles in the ceiling grid from Autocad into 3d studio. All of my round objects in the ceiling are comming in as squares. I am using Autocad r13 and importing the ceiling as a solid with 6" diameter circle subtracted from the wireframe. Someone had mentioned that there was a patch somewhere to fix this problem but they weren't sure. Still looking. Thanks.

I believe you need to use the FACETRES variable in ACAD r13 to control the face-count. We haven't segued from r12 to r13 yet, so I haven't done much with coming in from 13. But, you might try asking the question in the ACAD forum, as there has been some discussion of solids-export there. Dave

Sven, Are you exporting form R13 using 3DSOUT or DXF files? Both have settings to control the smoothness of arcs and circles. If it is a DXF file then possibly your DXF-ARC-DEGREES variable is set too low. If 3DSOUT then FACETRES is set too low. -brian

Thanks to all. I was using 3DSOUT and FACETRES was set too low, my inexperience. Now to upgrade to 64meg ram and I can see everything!
