have you installed the latest BIOS-Upgrade on your controller as the 1542B
only supports drives with a maximum of 1 GB ? The new BIOS (the same as on
the 1542C) supports drives greater than 1 GB.

Yes I installed the new bios so I can work with the larger than 1 GB drive.
Seems to work very well now that all the terminators are in the right place
and the SCSI id on the drive was changed. The only quark I notice now is
that when my system boots, it finds the id 5 drive several times but it
always knows it has id 5 so I guess it isn't a problem.
