Charles, Hopefully the reason you go to a dealer is for training and support, and that is the Value Added for the price difference. We wanted this product to be mass market, so we put it where the customers could find it. BTW, Upgrades from Ani Pro/AA are only available through the VAR channel. –marK

It's nice to understand your conception of what a dealer should be doing. From my experience my dealer doesn't offer training or support worth beans. I guess I'll get my upgrade there and go grouse. For-profit training and support would be attractive to me. And while we talk about it, I had lunch with an architectural firm that does some 3D studio. We were supposed to talk about demo disks, but the guy did a lot of grousing about rendering times in 3DS. But does he get support from a dealer _or_ CIS? No. Here's an idea – for a $3,000 product, y'all otta pop for a year's basic fees on CIS. Heck, CIS would probably give you a deal. Chuck Jameson Silver Tongue Software
