All: Sorry I haven't been here in a while, I've been unbelievably busy! We finished up the design to put a fan in our Hard Drives, and they will be shipping that way from now on. (Owners may upgrade for $39.95 + frt.) And have a new, faster, (here we go again) speed-up of our hard-drive which will probably be posted here (as a beta test version) next week some time. New software driver features: SPEED: Reads improved by 30% (We are now reading at 80% of the Byte X Byte DMA drive.) Writes improved by 300% (We are now almost twice the speed of the Byte X Byte DMA drive.) Features: User controlled buffer size up to 128K. User control of HD priority, allowing, for example, background file copying or compiling (at a slower speed) while retaining full user use of the Amiga. Write Protection selectable on a PARTITION. (This is a very important step toward true Multi-User operation on our SCSInet networking system. Also, lots of new products around the corner for the 1000, as well as the 500 and 2000. E.J.
