When I go from my lovely, beautiful A500 at home (where all the keys are
exactly where the should be) to the A 1000 in the TV studio at the college
(where many of the keys are not where they should be) I am amazed that the
Amiga lasted as long as it did.
MORAL: Man always loves the familiar.
There is another moral in there Jim. Man always love the 'beutiful' or
'right', and in the case of the AMiga 1000's keyboard, I think it was both. I
was not used to it when I first got it, but its small size, its weight,
layout, and markings, and especially its 'feel' made me get used to it faster
than any other keyboard I have ever used, and that still holds true today. I
look at this poorly laid out, badly marked, ergonomically unsound excuse for
a keyboard on my 2000, and still wish they'd left well enough alone.

If the 2000 has such a lousy keyboard, howcome my 500 has a keyboard about
which I can say all the things you say about your 1000's? And why is your
1000's keyboard so great, wherea Massasoit's is mushy as hell (although TIM,
who started with it, thinks it's great).
It's a pretty subjective thing.

Yes, it is a subjective thing. Sorry, but I really don't feel that I should
have to preface all my opinions with long disclaimers about the subjectivity
of the topic, or that the statements I make about those same topics
constitute my opinion. It's self evident.
