How do you drop the rescue pod close enough to the downed pilot?

Timothy, You'll see him on radar. Fly West off the carrier until the Island is North of you. Fly north to the pilot. This will allow you to overfly him without worrying about hitting the island. Now, get down low, the lower the better. When the pilot is in visual range, chop the throttle to about 50%. Line up on him carefully, so you're flying directly towards him. As you see him about to go 'under' the nose, drop the raft. If you release it while right over head it will land too far away. Try to think of it in ballistic terms, with the raft traveling while droppping. Once you do it you'll have no problems doing it again. I recommend flying at about 20 feet off the deck, and if you are quick, hitting the speed brake just before you are going to release. Happy Hunting! Doug
