I just had to drop into this thread and get something off my chest:
WHO CARES!!!
If I had wanted to use a Mac, I would have bought one in the first place.
Instead, I think I got a better deal. If Dave comes out with a Sac, then fine.
But I'm sure not going to loose any sleep if he doesn't.

I agree. I wouldn't buy one. It would have to take over the system, have to
use interlace, could not directly read and write Mac disks (only about 50% of
them). I think it'd be about as successful as the C-64 emulators. My point was
(is), I don't think he'll ever do it (he says he's not sure if he'll do it) and
if he does, it's a long way down the road.
Thank you. I'm glad somebody besides ME said that. I sincerely hope the
Amiga gets NO Mac Sack of problems.
The only thing useful would be to read and write Mac disks with an Amiga,
just for convenience in porting files hither and yon.
The later wouldn't be a problem if typesetting shops had a way to read Amiga
disks. Some of them can't even read IBM's dinosaur disks.

Alot of people care – there are tremendous gaping holes in Amiga software that
Mac software would fill nicely, without the cost of the Mac, yet with near the
performane of one.
