Does anyone know where I can get 3.5 inch hard disks with embedded SCSI
controllers? Preferably those made by Quantum, PTI, or Miniscribe?
I've paged through COmputer Shopper and haven't found too much. Thanks.
Computer Shopper is mostly PC oriented. Occationally you see an add for a MAC
SCSI drive. I ordered my Conner CP3100 (100M) 3.5 inch drive from one of their
distributor's: Hamilton Avenet. If you can get the manufacturer's phone number
then they will tell you the nearest dealer or distributor. They'll also be able
to give you model descriptions, size and capacity, etc.
Thanks for the reply. I found a dealer selling the Miniscribe 8051S (40 meg,
28 ms, 3.5 inch SCSI) for $500. I hope the drives are reliable.
Still looking for reasonably priced Quantum drives though.
