#WHAP!
5 messages in this thread
I'm having problems <as per my usual> in understanding the directions
for setting up WHAP. I'm trying to install the program in a directory that I
created on my Hard Drive <DH0:>. I named the Directory "Whap" <no quotes> and
put the files: Whap! and View! into it. I moved the font files into my Fonts
Directory and did an assignment? <assign Whap: dh0:> on the boot disk. When I
try to start the program from CLI, I get a message that says "unknown command
Whap!". I know I'm doing somethig stupid but don't know what. Thanks for
both your patience and HELP!

The assign should have read:
ASSIGN WHAP: dh0:WHAP
whap uses the WHAP: logical volume forit's files. They will be in dh0:whap if
your message was correct. Don't feel bad. I've wasted five hours getting whap
to run and all it can do is log on and off! Any messages it gets becomes
garbage.

I've now got it running! I even did this reply on WHAP! Thanks for the
HELP.

Assign Whap: Dh0:Whap then cd to that directory. I have it set up that way on
my hard disk and it works find. I have already run it thur two of Amiga forums
and have no troubles with reading messages or replying to them or your message.
Make sure that before you go online with this program that you change your
Compuserve PROFILES to TopPage MAIN, Brief Prompts YES, and EasyPlex NOTIFY
ONLY.
