UNIX for A1000?

Hi, Has anyone heard about UNIX for the Amiga? I heard there is going to be a
UNIX lookalike as well as SVR3. I hear that SVR3 will run using the new 68020
board. That is great for all of those people who have a A2000. I have an
A1000. Will this UNIX run on any of the 68020 boards for the A1000?

Without the UNIX being available, it is very hard to state if it will
or won't run on an A1000; however, all indications are that it will require the
equivalent of the CBM A2620 board and 32 bit RAM (which the board comes with <4
meg worth in the UNIX configuration>).
IF you had a CSA Tower (or Turbo)…it _might_ work on an A1000, but if
you had just something like an accelerator…I doubt it will work.
That is MY guess, not fact that it will/won't work.

Thanks for the info anyways. I suppose I will just have to wait until UNIX
comes out. Then I will have to wait for reviews to see if it will work on any
of the A1000 68020 boards.

Speaking of Unix, has anyone heard anything more out of Lamplighter
Software that was advertising "Amix" in Amazing Computing? It listed as being a
Sys V compatible environment for the Amiga (I think a standard Amiga). When I
called them, however, their advertised phone number had been disconnected.
Would be nice if they could get it out.

There is suppose to be A UNIX clone called Amix , I saw an AD on Amazing
COmputing and the girl told me that they expect to go out in a month. their
phone # is 801-269-8150 give them a call, price is around 400.00 and you need a
hardDisk not sure about '020/'881 board…
