Jim- After downloading the new version of Whap! I got back on line with no problem and zipped through the DEFAULT and EPLEX settings with no problems. You should have gotten the automatic EPlex message. The only thing that still is a mystery is that I get the 'prompt character not defined' message in EVERY forum I enter. It doesn't seem to be causing any problems … but do you have any idea what could be causing it? Check will go in the mail Monday!

Art, Whap! uses a ^Y for prompt character. (leastways, it did during beta) What you're seeing is Whap! setting up Options for the forum (note the ':s' in the string before it ) for the session. From memory, it turns off using menus, and sets to the proper editor, and then asks to chsge the promt, all in one string. It will do this in any forum and during any action. It allows you one set of (default) options in the forum for those times you come in 'normally' without necessitating forcing you to set your options to Whap!'s permanently. Doug

EXCEPT for menu/command mode, which must always be left at command mode.

And, I believe, waiting messages also, which you MUST set to NOTIFY, not VIEW. Rick
