#Strang!

Got a strange one for you or is it me. I did a [C] (Catalog) on the AmigaArts
Forum on LIBs 6 & 7 for the last 7 days. After Whap! logged off I hit the [D]
button (DownLoad) the screen opened normally but in a few seconds strange
things happened. The blue border that surrounds the gadgets ended up in the
middle of the screen the gadgets stayed at the bottom of the screen, there was
a ghosted imaged of the all gadgets, and then the everything locked up. I had
to reboot. I looked at the AmigaArts.CAT file Whap! generated and found that
both LIBs 6 & 7 had come up with "No files found.". It seems that if you do a
catalog that ends up with no entries it fouls up whap! when it tries to read
the catalog file with [D] (DownLoad). I tried the catalog again on LIB 6 & 7
plus Lib 9 which read 2 files descriptions and the "D" Button displayed the
entires fine this time. I am using the latest version of WHAP! 1.1D.

I'vce had the same thing happen, I'll have to try a download again.a

Hayward,
I'll check that out. Sounds pretty strange!
If you are using 1.1D you neglected to delete your Tnnnn file and have
1.1D do the initialization. If you had everything set up correctly under 1.0D
this isn't necessary but does give me the piece of mind knowing that you really
ARE setup correctly with your CompuServe parameters.

Jim,
Seems ;like the problem I was having with the "D" option comes from incomplete
data in the Cat download. That's not very clear (too many beers tonight) but
the Download screen goes to hell if there isn't complete data from the cats.

C. Davey,
Damn! You're correct. If you have a catalogue of a library that has no
entries, you WILL guru. I apologize. See 1.2D.

I deleted my old T2400 file and let Whap! V1.1D initialization everything. I
again did a catalog on the AmigaArts forum LIBs 6 & 7 for the past 6 days and
the same thing happen when WHAP!s [D] (Download) tries to read AMIGAARTS.CAT
the screen goes crazy and locksup. If you what I can upload this file to you.
If you do what this file should I email it or upload to LIB 16?. The only
reason I am bring this up is if Whap! catalog gets this kind of data it should
not cause [D] DownLoad to choke on it.
Hope you are holding up well under the avalanche of question, comments from
all of us and writing the most bullet proof program under any circumstance
around.
Hayward,
You are correct. If you do a cat on a library that has no entries based
upon your search criteria, when you try to read that Lib from the Download
screen, you will crash and burn. I apologize. 1.2D fixes that.
