Jim: Downloaded WHAP12.ARC, and the docs are screwed!!!! "ReadMe" states *TWICE!* to delete the params.whap file (which I did), and then, when I try to run Whap!, it}i can't find params (ok, use de}ifaults), but then when Whap! main screen comeGE}5 up, a requestor appears saying "Can Not Find Terminal" (of course, deleted params!) and then Whap! goes away. SOmeone should check that NOW! before serious howling goes out a}iround here Charles Conlow 74116,3067 xD

Charles, You're right. I unarced my local copy and all was fine. I then downloaded the file from Lib 16, and it acted exactly as you described. I don't know what happened. The sysops deleted it. I'll upload it again in the morning and as soon as the sysops make it public (I'll be sitting there waiting) I'll download it and test it. Best, -jcs-

Jim: First off, thanks for trying to fix the evident (and also lurking) bugs so quickly. Do you have the compiler going 24 hours a day or what? I know that you've been testing this thing "internally" for quite a while now, but nothing makes dem buggies stand on their heads and spin around like a "general release". That initial download of 1.2D that I got (with the incorrect docs) was just fine, if only I had left the params.whap file there. Actually, I just created an empty file called "Aterm", and Whap! was ahppy enough with that to let me get to the Edit Parameters business. All is well. Also, and maybe this a A Good Thing in disguise, CIS has been rather epileptic lately. If Whap! can handle CIS when it's ponderously slow and cantankerous, then Whap!ping a "normal" CIS should be a pleasure! Charles Conlow 74116,3067

Charles, Yes, that will work. The corrected version is (again) in Lib 16. If the 5 people or so who got the 'bad' version of 1.2D before it was removed from Lib 16 are having problems, rather than redownload it, just stick something in WHAP: colon called Aterm. It doesn't matter what it is, you can rename it or delete it later. Best, -jcs-
