#READ.ME File in V1.2D
9 messages in this thread
Hi Jim,
Thanks for adding the suffix dialer. That will help quite a bit! I wonder if
you know that the V1.2 ARC file still has the V1.1 read.me file?
Paul
Paul,
Someone else mentioned in jest what really was in fact. My compiler has
been going almost 24 hours a day. The only thing necessary for 1.2D is to
delete your params.whap file before running for the first time.

Do me a favor, and, within WHAP!'s VIEW, delete this message. Let us know
when you come back that you've done it, but originating a message. Let's see
if it works.
I do not believe it is working (Though I could be wrong.)
Hmmm … I did delete it. Now its recovered it again from CIS.
Paul
Now its recovered it again from CIS? Do you mean you deleted it from within
VIEW! but it's still on CIS?
Henry,
I don't have the thread-file, so I place the reply here…
Whap! will delete messages from/to you…but you have to log on to do it. The
necessary commands live in the .SND file when next you log on. Just hitting
'Delete' in Whap! will NOT delete the file here. You must treat the delete as
a reply as far as how it gets handled on this end of things.

Perhaps what's happening is that if you do a "delete" and don't do a GET NEW
MESSAGES immediately the delete gets lost?
Henry,
Just tried it using the newest version I have…No Go. I don't normally use
it, so something changed since the beta version.
What it would do was 'send' the delete message # string, treating it like a
message in the .SND file.
Doug
Aha, I knew it warn't working. 🙂
