I don't follow: what is "all of that" that you are referring to, which "tends
to trend away from any semblence of a language standard"?
The initialization code IS standard!! What you do with it is up to you.
Benchmark HAS initialization code sections in implementation module, so what's
the problem? If somebody writes a module and for whatever reason decides that
some setup stuff has to be done explicitly rather than implicitly in the
initialization code, that's his businfs.
