Does the DXF convertor handle symbols? R12 stuff? >>We've already assembled dozens of megabytes of public domain 3D objects in various forms. We're converting them to N different formats, << >> So far, this means 3D Studio .3DS, AutoCAD DXF, LightWave, Imagine TDDD, and maybe a few others.<< Any of those formats include normals for smooth polys? I do RenderMan, which can handle arbitrary non-flat polys, but it wants the normals. Certainly hope plain old .RAW triangles wil be in there for Steve Anger's workhorse utilities. >>What sorts of files would make this disc interesting to you?<< Furniture would be nice, and heads & body parts. Animals, vehicles. No interest in simple geometry. You are aware, I would assume, that ViewPoint's released sets can't be resold. Probably not Mira's, either. >> I know what price-point you'd like. 🙂 << So, how close to the right price are you planning to get? #8+] Dan Richardson Northfield MA Read action !re 11876
