Thanks for the attention to my questions. I'm sorry if they came out as
gripes, in the future I shall try to present them as "insights".
I tried filge with the help option as you suggested, and I'm ashamed to
say that it looks quite familiar. I believe it may have been maybe 6 or 7
years, at least, since I had last used it and had pretty much forgetten about
it. I'm afraid I took out my aggravation on the first available resource. The
faceless editor.

No problem at all, Steve. In fact, in rereading my reply to you I saw where I
could have been misread as being particularly snooty in my attitude; please
believe that this was NOT intentional. It's often hard to tell what a person's
really thinking by the written word, since there is no inflection to support
it. I always assume "everything's okay" unless it looks obviously otherwise…
and then I usually ask. You didn't come off as anything other than someone who
was confused and maybe a bit frustrated… which is quite understandable. I
CERTAINLY didn't take it personally, and I doubt the editor minded. 😉
Besides, we wouldn't have caught the bug in the announcement without your help!
