I have an Amiga 2000 with a Commodore 1084 monitor. The monitor has been
giving me trouble, as it is losing vertical hold when it is first switched
on. I am thinking of upgrading, and would like to know of a good model. I
use the Amiga system primarily for video, and there are some features of
the 1084 that I would like to have in my upgrade. 1. An audio input. 2. An
NTSC input as well as RGB. 3. The ability to switch between NTSC and RGB
while everything is hooked up, and running. Thanks, -+WMS3+-

With the new video modes coming out soon, you may want to opt for a
mulit-sync monitor. You could get a cheap amplifier and small speakers
(maybe Bose 101's). This won't have NTSC input though, but you'll be able
to see the higher scan rate modes. Many librarys carry 1 or more PC
magazines, and they will often have comparison reviews on monitors. I
haven't been in the monitor market for about a year, so I'm not up on the
current models. Unfortunately Zenith hasn't come out with a multi-sync
version of their flat screen VGA monitor yet. That thing makes the display
look like a backlit slide.

Nah, I suspect the "new video modes" will require new cards, new software,
new genlock, et al. I'm happy with what I have (more or less) just want a
better monitor than the crummy=dore! Anyone else got any suggestions?
