#2091 Controller

I've been hearing some rumors that the 2091 controller is slower than
either the 2090 or 2090A, in fact about half as fast as those two. I would
be interested if anyone else has heard this, or could leave a message with
their DiskPerf results using the 2091 and Quantum drive.

These are the results with my 2091 and Quantum 105mb. I have not added any
of the 2megs of memory that can be expanded on my 2091. The drive is 80%
full.

rThanks Clint for the Diskperf results. I've been wanting to upgrade from
my 2090 to a 2091 but wanted to make sure those rumors I heard were false.
In fact you are getting slightly better results than I'am with my 105S, but
we may have things set up differently.

No, if anything, the 2091 is faster.

Don, from my own experience, the 2091 is slightly slower at 512 byte reads,
but beats the 2090 in anything larger.
