Here's some information about the Nikon scanner, from a brochure that I
picked up at NCGA last March:

Transfer rate: Max 750 Kbytes/sec Interfaces: GPIB (IEEE-488) and

Thanks, Ken. Unfortunately, I can't justify doubling my equipment
investment to scan a slide or two a week; too bad, as I bet things look
nice. So– has anyone here done any 'do-it-yourself' by modifying an
Ektagraphic projector for even lighting & rear projection or aerial image
work?… Just curious, Jeff.
