I live in Raleigh North Carolina. The Amiga dealer where I bought my 2000 is no longer in business. I am interested in the upgrades to 2.0 as well as the new chip set. I have contacted the local dealer here in Raleigh twice about prices and availability and have been told that the right person is not in and they will call me back "real soon now". Could you please direct me to someone who has this information and let me spend some of my hard earned money with Commodore. Thanks Rick Flynn

Rick, The new chipset and 2.0 will not be available until September. Prices have not yet been set. You can have the new Agnus chip now, but I don't know the price. I know that my dealer charged about $150 for the chip plus installation of that one. The price for the chipset and the upgrade set for 2.0 will be announced later in the year. ……Betty

Rick – My rumor-miller, my local dealer who shall remain unnamed, informed me that he expects the chipset upgrade price to be in the neighborhood of $200.00 installed. Even though I am (was?) a competent electronic tech I still let his tech do the installation since he has the experience with the machine. – Nelson … (My 2yr old calls farts, bottom burps. 😉
