I guess I never really heard anything from Commodore about a "turbo xt" so
I'm kind of in the dark there. I sure wouldn't want an 8 MHz 8088, or any
8088 for that matter, the standard has become the 386. I doubt seriously
that Commodore doesn't know that. I also doubt that they are doing
anything with any chip less than a 386.

The brochure I read at World Of Amiga mentioned, if I remember right, a
turbo xt. To say the least, I couldn't understand that. But the cbm reps
present would not say it wasn't an 8088. So you figure.

Perhaps the new bb (turbo xt) will be a low cost bb? (in the 199.00 –
250.00 range)? That would make some sense, as I think more bb's would be
sold if they were cheaper.

I dunno, maybe it is an ADD ON to the xt BB, similar to, but more
compatible than, your SOTA. At a decent cost, you could sell a lot of
something like that, and make a bunch of xt BB owners not only happy, but
keep them away from buying a clone to get more horsepower.
