Betty, Yeah, I can see where you get that idea. I've run into that phenomenon myself. An associate just started showing interest in my Amiga, but stated that "all that software was available for her PC…" Meaning someone else had already purchased all the packages she was interested in. >> sigh! << THAT's why I keep about 400-500 disks of PD/shareware around… I can get someone started on either their Amiga or a PC without copying anything I shouldn't. Always tell a new Amiga owner to bring me a BOX of disks, and a list of the type of software they're interested in. Yeah, again, about the docs that come with my PC software. I have a couple of thousand dollars tied up in a half-dozen or so programs… and they come with a couple of TONS (8-) of paper! Being obssesive about reading docs, and having a "gift" for being able to pick the information I want from said docs, I rarely need those 2nd source books. HOWever, a program with the complexity of DBaseIII/IV, or MathCAD, there is usually something new, or at least, a new way to state something that has made some of those books useful. Didn't really think WARP made you uncomfortable (;-). I like your idea about keeping things consistant. I would go one step further: I would like to encourage new users to use the STANDARD archive commands, and to avoid some of the "easier" utilities. The standards may have a slightly steeper learning curve, but once learned, they rarely change. AND they are always "compatable". BTW, I owe you an apology for that last message. I broke one of my own rules: "Never post when angry or intoxicated." I was the latter, NOT the former 8-). — Bob
