#Makefile (Again)

Here is the complete makefile. It performs perfectly, only it cannot
print to the screen at the end, nor can I hear ol' Porky do his "That's All
Folks" routine, although both commands perform properly when typed at the
keyboard, exactly as in the makefile, less the tilde chars (the absence of
which is irrelevant. What is wrong?
#System macro for compiler flags. Automatically added.
CFLAGS= -bs -hi header.pre
#This macro replaces all object files :
OBJECTS = header.o beep.o process.o timer.o main.o serial.o keyboard.o \

# The first user-defined rule to get "headers.pre" # remade. The rule says
how to make any ".pre" files from each ".z" file # found. (It's up to me
to be sure there is only one.)
z.pre:
cc -bs -ho $@ $*.z
# The second user-defined rule says that all "OBJECTS" depend # upon the
header.pre file, in addition to the "C to O" rule.
$(OBJECTS): header.pre
# The final dependency generates the executable, using the # implied ".c to
.o" rule. comm: depends upon the OBJECTS, # which are then linked. We
don't note how the objects are created.

Oh….have you indented your lines with a tab? make gets very upset if you
indent with spaces instead of with tabs.

Mike:
Argh! No! I interpreted the text to refer to whitespace vs
abuttingthe-left-edge. I'm not ready to concede defeat just yet, because I
have everything working slickly, except for the d… Fkey macros in the
ZOPT file. (I may have accidentally used TABs instead of the spacebar, but
I wouldn't bet on it.) 😎
With the ZOPT problem, I have altered ai and ts often, and they
respond as they should. It is strictly the F1=:cn stuff that is ignored.
