SupraModemZI

My current hardware consists of an Amiga1000 with a Microbotics Starboard 2 (including the 2meg RAM upgrade, and SCSI controller), a Seagate ST251-1, and a SupraModem 2400. I'm also running the Paragon 2.07 BBS Software. Several users also running Paragon have the same general hardware setup. And several of us wish to run an additional line with the BBS. However, I've been told time after time that the current available Expansion units (ie, Toolbox), will not work with a SupraModemZI, or the available serial port expansion cards. My question is this: does anyone know if it would be possible to somewhat easily build a small interface/board that would allow an Amiga1000 user to plug the SupraModemZI into the Amiga1000's expansion slot, without requiring a Toolbox? I understand this would also require a new driver. But, I think the biggest obstacle would be building an interface to allow this type of a connection. Any help/comments would be GREATLY appreciated!
