Does anyone out there have any idea whether or not Commodore will be
exhibiting at this year's Siggraph in Las Vegas? I heard the ugly rumor
that they wouldn't, which would be a major disappointment. With so many
24-bit capable products and display devices, the Amiga is finally capable
of competing in the high end market.
BTW, if anyone on here is attending, maybe we can set up an Amiga SIG
meeting during the event?
>Siggraph in Las Vegas?
When and where is it? I live here in Las Vegas, and hadn't heard anything
about it!
Siggraph takes place the week of July 28 at the Convention Center.
Caesar's Palace is the headquarters. If you've never been to Siggraph and
love graphics, you owe it to yourself to check it out. –Rick Rodriguez
Thanks Rick,
(I feel like I'm talking to myself here! <grin>
Guess I'll have to wander over that way and check it out.
I maybe going – wasn't planning to, but I went to a trade show yesterday
and was told that I should get on the cheapest junket to Vegas. Got a free
pass – now I need the airfare and gambling money!
Rick,
I'm not able to make it out there this year. Bummer. Was hoping to see
you again. The program listing has Commodore listed, so they were at least
signed up at some time. Do you think they dropped out?
I wasn't sure from your message whether YOU were going.

Yep, I'm going, but I have heard from a dealer here that Commodore isn't. I
hope this is incorrect, but I guess I'll have to wait and see. –Rick
Rick,
Are you just visiting SIGGRAPH or does Impulse have an official presence
planned for the show? I snuck out to NAB but cannot make it to SIGGRAPH
this time. Gee, maybe Light24 will be done?! Talk about idle
speculation… Don't take this the wrong way as I am NOT being critical of
Impulse. I just hate to wait for something good to arrive in completed
form. The pre-release versions of Light24 have been much appreciated.
….Mark P.S. I have your video for Imagine and it is well done and well
worth the reasonable price.
