All that with one year experience?!??!! (Wunderkind) Methinks me spots a 50K slot looking for a 20K person…. ;^} 'Course the most intersting thing is the fact that "code" appears before "design" in the ad (I'm showing my structured approach and 2167 here). If you have a good software architect, that person(s) coordinate product definition at requirements level and top-level design. Test should start at that point devising the test plan. The testing procedures shoudl evolve in parallel (but in a seperate group) with the coding effort. Tester(s) Designer(s), Document writer(s) and the project manager should all participate in the requirements, design, code, test procedure and test completion walk-throughs. That's a nut shell of how software is built where lives are in the balance. I realize in the commercial world, due to lesser consequences, that often 15 – 25 folks code up a storm, fire-drill to fit the peices together and pass that off to ONE tester who is largely unaware of whats gone on with the product who gets to bang on it for 3 days before it ships. And he/she is usually the one who has to explain it to the overloaded manual writer. The testing is where you need the people with the most technical insight, but I've noticed that in commercial enterprises it is typically where Joe/Jill Aspiring Programmer is put. BTW, all this just came out and has little to do with the ad or EA. It sounds like a neat job that I wouldn't mind having 'cept that you couldn't afford me ;^} As a suggestion tho, you might try posting in the Stanford and Berkely bulletin boards/papers. You would probably get someond right away. wmc
