Dev Con Reports
7 messages in this thread
So where's all those hot dev con reports, posted from laptops from Orlando
hotels?
John,
You know about DevCons. When we enter the door, they hand us a brand new
NDA, and we cannot register until we have signed it. The first thing it
says is that we will not reveal to anyone anything discussed here, and we
will discuss those things only with other who are here. That makes it a
bit tough on us to make reports.
I can tell you that there are at least twenty of the members of this forum
here, because I've taken that many pictures of them. Five of the sysops
are here: Steve Bennett, Steve Petrowicz (I think I misspelled that!),
John Toebes, Bob Rakosky, and me. All told, there are about 400 people
here, including about 100 from Europe, and some have come from Australia
and from Japan, too. We've been kept jumping to get to all the meetings,
etc. I do wish you could have joined us.

Betty,
What I want to know is if there is anything being presented that may tempt
one to break the NDA.

Steve,
Yes. 🙂

Well, I guess it must have gone right over my head (I'm not surprised!).
Or I was in the wrong place at the wrong time 🙁

Steve:
I had to leave early, so didn't get to see everything, but from what I
saw, (and understood, after all, I'm not a programmer, and most of it was
geared to programmers) there wasn't anything anything earth shattering,
but then I could be wrong. For me the best part of devcon was meeting
people, and in the case of CIS folks, it was putting faces to names. Not
to mention the wonderful steak dinner Khalid & I had. 🙂
