I have a Trident 8900 card and 3DS will render a single frame with the correct colors (256) but when a sequence or "all" are selected the colors are all false colors. Everything is the same but more than just a single frame is selected for rendering. ??? Thanks, Keith

Keith when you render to vga the pallette is not calculated til the end of the animation (never if rendered to screen only) – for more in depth description RTFM page 8-122. Martin

Hey Martin, RTFM is a reserved word for developers! Only Gary and Jack can use it in public. Shame on you…(grin)

Doug, but I am a developer! My wife says I'm developing into a real computer nerd – what a complement.<g>

Martin, you are hereby confirmed as a bona-fide developer! And hey… anyone who can even _use_ 3D Studio qualifies as a computer nerd in my book. IMHO, – G

Gary, Brett is doing 5 images for Hercules for their new 24bit board in 1152×900 24bit. What a neat res to see 3DS images in! Some are ones you've seen, but I'll send you a copy of any new ones.

Doug, I'd love to see any new images from Brett (always), but please send them to me in 640x480x24-bit format! Can you send them up to me before Siggraph? – G

I better have them before the end of next week. I believe that Hercules may be using them for Siggraph so I may not be able to grant permission, but I'll see. Of course, if they are public images, it won't matter. I'll keep ya posted….
