I have one of the new 24bit speedstars and the panacea drivers that shipped
with it. My problem is when ever I render anything and then go to the
materials editor my system reboots. Any other comments would be
appreciated.

I can almost guarantee that the Panacea drivers that Diamond Shipped were
the old ones for 3DSr1. You'll need to get the new 3DSr2 drivers when they
are ready.

If you are using 3D Studio rel. 2.0, then you will indeed need an upgrade
for the driver you are using. If you are using 3D Studio rel. 1, then the
Materials Editor can only be used in 256 color mode. In other words, you
need to make sure your DLDSETUP is for 256 colors, not 16 or 32k (if your
board has a DAC chip on it). If you need an upgrade, please e-mail to me
and I will see about the upgrade and what you need to do to get it. My
