Need some advice. I've been using JRComm for years now and have had good
luck with it, but I think it may be time to buy a more sophisticated and
powerful telcom program. Any suggestions on what's best. I wouldn't
consider anything w/o Zmodem and CIS QuickB as far as protocols are
concerned. But I'm looking for some automation, if you know what I mean.
If you've ever used Microphone on the Mac you know it has a neat
little feature called "Watch Me" that records keystrokes and incoming text
to create auto-logon macros without all the fuss and bother of trying to
write them. I'd like a feature like that.
I haven't looked at any commercial products or read any reviews lately,
but the ones that seem to be current are A-Talk, Baud Bandit, Platinum
On-Line and Mindlink. Is that it? and if so, what's best?

You might want to hang tight for awhile, the next release is in beta
test, has scripts and ARexx as well as a learn mode for creating login
macros.
I know it's been a hell of a long wait, but once you see it I'm pretty
sure you'll agree that it was worth it.

Jack, I have been using JR-Comm since I got my first Amiga and have always
loved it. I didn't know what features you had been working on for the next
version and am glad you listed some.

You can expect the new release when it's finished beta testing. When
will that be? I don't know yet.

What is the latest version of JR-Comm? I think the last one I saw was
1.02.

A firm decision hasn't been made yet. I've been leaning towards a $5.00
to $10.00 upgrade fee for registered users but won't be able to decide
until I find out some other things. I'll be mailing out a flyer to
everyone once a decision has been made though.
