10.Other features that would be cool – An option to ADD points to curves by using current points as control points on a spline curve. You could give the user options like adding points based on 'angle to next point' – this would allow you to smooth a curve by adding a point every N degrees along the interpolated spline curve. This would be a VERY useful feature. Allow custom transformation settings for specific surfaces. (ie: a user who has created a good chrome surface might like to be able to 'map' those characteristics onto the object automatically as it is converted. This would mean that the user would have to load a surface description in Imagine format then load a LightWave surface. You could create a list of Imagine values, and store the pathname to the LightWave color [or the entire surface data – if yo feel adventurous] that corresponds to the given Imagine values. Eventually, the user would be able to develop a library of settings [which could be automatically loaded and saved?] to facilitate the conversion process.) You could even give the user an option of specifying a percentage of deviatio from the original surface attributes – this would give the user even more fre dom in customizing their conversion process.
