#GIF to IFF

I'm trying to convert GIF files to IFF files so I can view them on DPaint III. Any ideas on how I need to do that? Bob K.

See the file WASP.LHA in library 14 of AmigaArts: Wasp 2.0 beta. Converts pictures from GIF and IFF format to IFF format. Input formats supported: GIF (87a), IFF hires, lores, HAM, EHB, sliced hires, lores, and HAM, dynamic hires, lores and HAM, 24-bits IFF, more. Output formats supported: IFF hires, lores, HAM, EHB, sliced hires, lores, and HAM, dynamic hires, lores and HAM, 24-bits IFF, SRGR, PPM, P6 (binary 24-bits RGB) only. Michael …..on AutoPilot

Michael, I tried to use WASP but it converted the files to HAM which won't work in DPaint III. Bob K.

Bob: Read the docs for WASP… it says that it allows output to IFF formats other than HAM. I haven't used it, so I can't tell you how to do it. Michael …..on AutoPilot

If you will look in LIbrary 14, Graphics Utilities, in AmigaArts, you will find a number of programs that will transfer files from GIF to IFF, and there are also a number of GIF viewers there.
