Could anyone tell me what's required in order to use an Exebyte 8500 for transferring animation files for later post-production with Abekas? We have an Exebyte 8500 using Paladrome software at work. Can I use this setup to send TGAs to a service bureau? Any help and/or suggestions would be most welcome! Danny…

You would need a RGB to YUV conversion program and you would also need a program to transfer these converted file to tape. We have used the video toaster and the Amiga to do some animations and logos (ex The American Music Awards, all the backgrounds and photo-realistic musical instruments were done with the video toaster and transfered to D1 video tape for compositing. We contacted a company in Wisconsin called ASDG and they wrote a driver and converter for us in about 1.5 weeks. This software has be flawless.
