I just read in a photo magazine, that a German company, Color Concept, is
making software for the Atari Falcon 030, so that Kodak Photo-CDs may be
read on that computer.
I wonder, when the Amiga will get the capability ?

this is a _very_ tentative reply, but didn't someone tell me that ASIMware,
makers of AsimCDFS (CD-ROM File System) are working on an upgrade to read Kodak
Photo CDs? Can someone else confirm or deny this?

Just got my upgrade notice from Asim last week… YES! Asim CDFS v 2.0 will
include AsimPhoto wich will transfer photo CDs to IFF24.

AsimCDFS is at rev 1.1c, but Asim-Ware has just announced the upcoming
release of v 2.0.
2.0 will begin shipping August 5th, and includes the following:
AsimPhoto – reads Kodak PhotoCD images and exports 24bit IFF's.
AsimTunes – completely re-written
FishMarket – now contains Fish discs through 880
Preferences Editor – for all CDFS settings
Full ARexx support
Tested with the following CDROM Drives:
Chinon 431, 435, 535
NEC 7x, 8x, 36, 37, 38
Toshiba 3201, 3301, 3401
Pioneer 600
Sony 541, 561
Texel 3024, 5024
Panasonic 501
CBM CDTV, A570
Of course, it also reads ISO 9660, High Sierra, and MAC HFS CDRom
formats.
