Terminus problem

I just got the evaluation version of Terminus and I found a problem
that maybe someone can help me with. Though I must admit I have yet to
read the docs…gee wonder why, it should only take a _month_ or so
;-)…I thought I'd see if anyone else has this
problem.
Here's what I've done and the problem that happens:
Selected PHONEBOOK DIRECTORY, then ADD, then MACROS (and a
requester comes up stating that I need a script file or something), I
hit the OK on that requester and the MACRO window shows up, but
there's nothing in the "Qualifier" box. If I hit the Qualifier box I
get a bunch of garbage characters across the screen and if I keep hitting
it, then I get a guru that says "Error $0100000F Process $00350E30
(terminus1)" and my Amiga crashes.
Can anyone duplicate this? I am running a A2000 w/68000, 9 Megs and
OS 2.04.

I tried your example with Terminus and I too got the same results. Maybe
we should read the docs, but I don't think Terminus should respond to our
possible ignorance of procedure with a guru.

Yeah, I've heard from a lot of people that they too were getting the
scrambled characters and Gurus. I emailed Jack about it and I'm sure
it'll be fixed soon.

Just found out what the problem is with the phonebook macros guru…in
order to use the macros a script file HAS to be made first (that's what
the requester was warning about). After checking the docs it says that
the macros are stored with the script and after trying it out it _did_
work correctly. Though it still shouldn't have gurued, the macro option
should never have come up if it found it was missing the script file.

I'll repeat the reply here for the beneift of others.
Terminus allows you to open the macro requester even though there's
supposed to be a script file present before doing so. If you want macros
for an entry please define a scrip file since that is where they are saved
when you close the macros requester.
The next release will prevent this situation from occuring.
