My company has purchased 4 T338 MiniSCSI ports to be used on the Toshiba 4400 and 5200 computer connected to a Texel DM-5020 CD Rom player. However, when loading TSLCD.SYS with the Texel connected, I receive "Warning: No SCSI host adapters detected." Texel says I also need to load MA338.SYS. Where is this located and why wasn't it included in the Install Disk? If anyone has had this problem, or knows a solution, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. – Lewis Horowitz

All Trantor SCSI adapters come with all the software you need to install them and run the Texel drive. Make sure you do the Automatic Search For Host Adapter before you install, or select the appropriate Trantor SCSI model when you install. If you don't do that, you will install only the ASPI CD-ROM driver and not the ASPI Manager. If you don't understand what I just said, it is very clearly explained… in the Manual! Remember, too, that you need to use a standard Macintosh compatible SCSI cable with the T338… do NOT use a Future Domanin style cable… it is non-standard and won't work correctly.

Thanks for the information, Jack. After much hair pulling, I brought in a Voltmeter and checked for termpower. Wouldn't you know, the Texel's that I have are not putting out. So…according to Texel, these units need to be returned for repair. – Lew
